USTourGuide is made by Front Window Labs. This policy covers the USTourGuide consumer app and the organizational publishing service, in plain language.

The consumer app and location

The app's whole purpose is playing you audio about the places around you, so it uses your device's location to work out which stories and tours are nearby. That is what location is used for.

Diagnostic logs

The app uploads diagnostic logs — crash reports, errors, and performance data — to help us improve reliability. These logs do not include your location unless you turn on "Share detailed diagnostics" in the app, in which case they include location data for that session. Diagnostic logs are kept for 30 days and are not used for any other purpose.

Usage analytics

We record how you use the app's features: which story categories and feature types you turn on or off, your premium settings, tours you start and finish, and which stories you listen to and on what date. This is stored with your account identifier, app version and device platform, and is linked to your account — including activity from before you created one, since your account keeps the same identifier. We use it to understand which features and content are valuable and to improve the app. We record the date you listened to a story, not the time, and we do not record your location as part of this. Diagnostic logs, which are described separately, are only sent when you choose to send them.

We do not sell personal data

We do not sell personal data. Ever.

Organizational accounts

If your organization subscribes, we store the business contact information you give us — organization name, contact name, and email — to run your account and subscription.
